Hiver was born out of an admiration for London's urban beekeepers and a passion for craft beer.
We use urban and rural honey to create an all-British speciality beer that's long matured and unpasteurised.
We tone down the hops and support the natural honey flavours with an organic speciality malt.
Honey and beer, what's not to love?.THE HONEY BEER
The more honeys we tasted, the more we understood how varied honey can be, depending on what the bees are foraging on. This led to an understanding of the importance and role that bees play in pollinating over 30% of the food that we eat.WHAT ABOUT IT
Hiver sources raw honey from independent British beekeepers. Beekeepers say that good quality honey should not be pasteurised, the same way that brewers talk about good quality beer. The fact that bees forage in a three mile radius to the hive, means that the three honeys we source for Hiver are as varied and unique as the malted barley and hops that were picked during the recipe development stage.THIS IS US
We have a bar at the Maltby Street Market every Saturday 9am til 4pm and Sunday 11am til 4pm. We’d love to see you there, offer you a sample of Hiver and tell you more about what we do and how we do it. We also sell honey from the beekeepers that supply us for our brews as well as Hiver gift packs and wildflower seedbombs.
